In a significant stride towards promoting access to clean energy, 11 Plc (formerly Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc) has made notable advancements in the distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), commonly known as cooking gas, and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for domestic and vehicular use. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint.

At the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, the Chairman of 11 Plc, Mr. Ramesh Kansagra, highlighted the company’s dedication to these efforts.

Speaking through the company’s Non-Executive Director, Aminu Abdulkadir, Kansagra noted that 11 Plc has inaugurated several prime CNG stations in Lagos and Oyo states, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiative. This move emphasises the company’s commitment to promoting cleaner energy sources and reducing dependence on traditional, more polluting fuels.

Kansagra also highlighted the company’s increased LPG marketing presence nationwide, which provides access to cooking gas—a clean fuel for domestic cooking. This initiative has enhanced the lives of customers and contributed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Emphasising the company’s dedication to innovation and sustainability, Kansagra stated that 11 Plc aims to make clean energy sources available to most parts of the country in the coming years. This commitment reflects the company’s broader strategy to support environmental sustainability and improve the quality of life for its customers.

As Nigeria grapples with energy access and environmental challenges, 11 Plc’s efforts in advancing the distribution of LPG and CNG represent a significant step towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

The company’s initiatives are poised to contribute to the nation’s broader goals of reducing emissions and promoting the use of cleaner energy sources.
