POWERCHINA Backs Clean Energy Push at Innovation Expo

POWERCHINA was a key sponsor of Mali’s inaugural International Digital Innovation and Renewable Energy Expo, recently held in Bamako. The event marked a milestone in Mali’s push to advance its energy transition and boost digital innovation.

At the expo, POWERCHINA’s Mali Representative Office showcased the company’s technological achievements across key sectors, including renewable energy, water infrastructure, and mining. Its exhibition booth attracted wide interest from government officials and industry stakeholders.

Visitors paid particular attention to major projects such as the Gouina and Félou hydropower stations and the Bamako International Airport terminal.

POWERCHINA is currently focusing on Phase I of the Safou Solar and Storage Power Station Project, the largest solar-plus-storage initiative under construction in Mali. The project highlights the company’s commitment to strengthening the country’s energy infrastructure and advancing sustainable development.

POWERCHINA reinforced its strong partnership with the Malian government and local enterprises by participating in the expo. The company used the platform to demonstrate its expertise in renewable energy and infrastructure development, reaffirming its role in supporting Mali’s clean energy transition.

The expo also encouraged multi-sectoral dialogue on tackling climate change, expanding energy access, and helping the Sahel region move away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy solutions.
