- Envision Energy and SUN Terra have partnered to advance energy storage technologies across Southeast Asia, India, and Australia.
- The collaboration aims to boost clean energy adoption, strengthen regional supply chains, and localise expertise, supporting energy transition in Asia-Pacific.
Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, has entered into a strategic partnership with SUN Terra, Indonesia’s top renewable energy company, to accelerate the deployment of energy storage solutions across key markets in Southeast Asia, India, and Australia.
The companies announced the agreement as part of their joint commitment to supporting the clean energy transition in the region. Through the partnership, Envision and SUN Terra will collaborate on energy storage system procurement and distribution, localised assembly and manufacturing, technology licensing, and solution delivery.
Together, the companies aim to build a comprehensive value chain that enhances global supply chains and promotes manufacturing and technological expertise localisation.
Meanwhile, Kane Xu, Senior Vice President and President of International Product Lines at Envision Energy, said the partnership leverages complementary strengths. “SUN Terra’s strong local presence and project development capabilities perfectly complement Envision’s energy storage expertise,” Xu said. “Together, we will accelerate growth in energy storage markets throughout Southeast Asia, India, and Australia, while helping to strengthen local energy ecosystems.”
Furthermore, Karina Darmawan, CEO of SUN Terra, emphasised the collaboration’s regional impact. “As a key part of Sinar Mas’ renewable energy portfolio, SUN Terra remains committed to advancing clean energy development in Indonesia, Australia, and India,” she said. “This partnership with Envision will bring cutting-edge energy storage systems to Indonesia and drive local production and innovation in the Australian and Indian markets.”
SUN Terra, a subsidiary of Sinar Mas—one of Indonesia’s most influential conglomerates—specialises in end-to-end renewable energy development. The company has successfully delivered utility-scale solar projects across Indonesia, Australia, and India. It also provides integrated energy storage solutions and battery lifecycle management, which are vital in accelerating local markets’ energy transition.
By combining Envision’s global expertise in energy storage with SUN Terra’s regional leadership and market access, both companies aim to scale sustainable energy infrastructure and support long-term energy resilience across the Asia-Pacific region.
