Peak Energy has begun constructing a 65 MWp solar facility in Isabela, within the Cagayan Valley region of Luzon, the Philippines. This solar project marks a significant milestone in the nation’s renewable energy journey.
The project is designed to generate over 68,000 MWh of clean electricity every year, sufficient to power around 23,000 Filipino households. At the same time, it will prevent about 37,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, which equals removing 8,000 cars from the roads.
This Peak Energy’s solar project in the Philippines is scheduled to begin commercial operations during the first half of 2027. The company intends to work with corporates seeking long-term renewable supply agreements, thus accelerating the country’s green transition.
The Philippines remains one of Southeast Asia’s most promising renewables markets.
