Baobab+ has rebranded as Izili, unveiling a new identity reinforcing its mission as a last-mile distributor of affordable solar power and digital connectivity in underserved African communities.
At a press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, Kolawole Osinowo, the Chief Executive Officer of Izili Group, said the rebrand follows BioLite’s acquisition of a majority stake in April 2025. He also noted that the new identity reflects innovation in distribution, inclusivity, and measurable impact.
“As Izili, we pledge to deepen our reach in Senegal, the Ivory Coast, Madagascar, and Nigeria by bringing reliable energy and digital services directly to homes, small enterprises, and remote markets,” Osinowo said. “Our agile network of field agents ensures that products and support arrive where they are needed most.”
Meanwhile, He added that the name Izili embodies the company’s ambition to “light up every home and link every entrepreneur to opportunity.” Under its new identity, the company will maintain existing service standards for clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Osinowo confirmed that Izili will gradually roll out the rebrand across all operational markets in the coming months.
