IHS Nigeria, a subsidiary of IHS Holding Limited, has formed a strategic partnership with the Health Services and Environment Secretariat (HSES) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The collaboration focuses on promoting clean energy use and improving environmental health standards. This move reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in Nigeria’s capital.
Chief Executive Officer of IHS Nigeria, Mohamad Darwish, stressed that climate and environmental accountability are central to the firm’s strategy. In fact, with over 16,000 sites nationwide, the company recognises its duty to cut carbon emissions.
Furthermore, Darwish noted that IHS Nigeria has invested more than $750 million in solar and hybrid power solutions over the past decade. Therefore, the new partnership with HSES continues this green agenda and pushes clean energy adoption further across the community.
From the government’s perspective, Dr Dolapo Fasawe, Mandate Secretary of HSES, underlined the strong link between environmental quality and public health. Accordingly, she said the initiative proves how public and private sectors can work together for real impact.
