Wpd Orders Nordex Hardware for 126 MW of German Wind Projects

  • Wpd has ordered 21 turbines from the Nordex Group for six projects in Germany.
  • These wind turbines are intended for wind farms in Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Saxony-Anhalt.

Wpd, a leading Independent Renewable Power Producer (IRPP) and developer of wind and solar farms, has ordered 21 turbines from the Nordex Group for six projects in Germany.

 These orders total 125.7 MW, and a premium service for the maintenance of the turbines over a period of 15 years is contractually included.

The orders from long-standing customer wpd include the delivery of six N163/6.X turbines, eleven N149/5.X turbines, two N163/5.X turbines, and two N133/4.8 turbines.

These wind turbines are intended for wind farms in Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Saxony-Anhalt.

Delivery and installation of the turbines for the respective projects are planned for 2026 and 2027.
