PowerChina has signed a partnership agreement with Novel Solar to expand access to affordable and durable solar energy solutions across Nigeria, aiming to deepen renewable energy adoption and raise product standards in the local market.
The agreement was formalised on the sidelines of the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference in Lagos by PowerChina/I²-ESS Global Director Sammi Zhou and Novel Solar Chief Executive Officer Dahunsi Adewale.
Zhou said the partnership strengthens PowerChina’s footprint in Nigeria’s solar sector and accelerates the nationwide adoption of quality solar products. According to her, both firms will immediately begin joint implementation across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
She added that PowerChina trusts Novel Solar’s nationwide network of solar stores to deliver reliable components, professional installation, and technical support.
Furthermore, Adewale said the partnership combines PowerChina’s engineering expertise and manufacturing capacity with Novel Solar’s retail strength. He said the alliance will replace substandard products with durable alternatives and create jobs across the value chain.
He added that both companies aim to make solar power more accessible, cost-effective, and sustainable for homes and businesses in Nigeria.
