- McLaren Racing has appointed Schneider Electric as its official energy technology partner to support resilient and efficient power systems across its global racing operations.
- The partnership responds to rising energy and data demands as motorsport becomes increasingly digital and performance-driven.
McLaren Racing has named Schneider Electric as its official energy technology partner. The agreement expands a long-standing relationship as motorsport teams pursue greater efficiency and reliability in data-intensive operations.
Under the partnership, Schneider Electric will supply advanced energy technologies to McLaren’s racing programmes. These include Formula 1, IndyCar, F1 Academy, and the World Endurance Championship.
The companies said the collaboration will deliver resilient power solutions at race circuits worldwide. It will also support operations at McLaren’s Technology Centre in Woking, England.
The partnership will focus on designing and deploying energy systems that perform under extreme conditions. These systems will rely on data intelligence, digital tools, and engineering expertise. As motorsport increasingly depends on computing power, analytics, and simulation, stable energy infrastructure has become essential to competitiveness.
Furthermore, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing, Zak Brown, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and energy efficiency. He said combining Schneider Electric’s energy expertise with McLaren’s performance culture will help make operations smarter and more efficient.
Schneider Electric and McLaren will build on a supplier relationship that spans more than 20 years. The collaboration will include optimising assets across wind tunnels, manufacturing facilities, IT data centres, and other critical infrastructure.
The partners will work to reduce energy consumption, enable further electrification, and deploy advanced energy technologies. They will also use digital twin tools to generate data insights that improve efficiency and sustainability across operations.
Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric, Olivier Blum, said racing environments provide the ultimate test for advanced energy and digital solutions. He said McLaren’s performance demands highlight the value of reliable, efficient, and intelligent energy systems.
Blum added that Schneider Electric is proud to support McLaren with energy intelligence that delivers reliability and performance both on and off the track.
