  • The collaboration will amplify African energy transition and sustainability stories to wider continental and global audiences.

APO Group has announced a strategic content partnership with Nigeria-based sustainability consultancy PRO ALLY.

PRO ALLY focuses on ESG compliance, sustainability communication, stakeholder engagement and ESG capacity development. Through this partnership, APO Group and PRO ALLY will share people-centred stories from Africa’s energy and extractives sectors. The goal is to expand global awareness of sustainability, energy transition and inclusive development across Africa.

At the centre of the partnership is Energy Stories. PRO ALLY created this publication as a storytelling platform for energy professionals across Africa and beyond. The platform explains complex energy topics in simple and accessible language. It also highlights real experiences from professionals working across the sector.

Through APO Group’s partner ecosystem, PRO ALLY will gain wider visibility. APO Group works with more than 300 media organisations across Africa and globally. As a result, African energy stories will reach wider local and international audiences.

Tunbosun Afolayan, Managing Director of PRO ALLY, said energy and sustainability conversations often feel too technical and disconnected from real people. He explained that Energy Stories creates space for engineers, technicians, students, policymakers and professionals to share real experiences. He added that the partnership will help these stories reach wider audiences with stronger credibility.

The collaboration also reflects a shared commitment to expanding knowledge access across Africa. Both organisations aim to support economic development and a just energy transition. PRO ALLY will provide technical expertise and editorial direction. Meanwhile, APO Group will provide distribution reach and communications expertise.

Bas Wijne, Chief Executive Officer of APO Group, said Africa needs strong storytelling as it navigates energy and climate challenges. He said the partnership supports African-led narratives and real-life experiences that build trust and improve public understanding.

Overall, the partnership strengthens APO Group’s role in promoting positive African stories. It also positions the company as a strategic communications partner for industries shaping Africa’s future.
