The King said the government will introduce an “Energy Independence Bill” to scale up homegrown renewable energy and reduce vulnerability to external shocks. He linked energy security directly to national security and economic stability, stating that long-term investment and reform will protect living standards and strengthen resilience.
He also stated that the government will present 37 bills in the next parliamentary session, including eight previously introduced measures. These laws will address economic stability, public safety, and national security priorities.
In addition, he emphasised that the government will defend British values of decency, tolerance, and respect. He also pledged urgent action to tackle antisemitism and strengthen community safety across the country.
