For the first time ever, wind generation’s contribution to the UK’s energy mix was above 50 per cent. Following Storm Bella that swept the UK on Saturday, energy giant Drax said that wind was the majority contributor to the Nation’s energy supply.
Wind generation reached a record 50.67 per cent on Saturday beating the previous record of 50 per cent reached earlier in the summer.
