Namibia state-owned utility company, NamPower has signed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for the construction of two solar PV power plants. The power plants will have individual capacities of 20 MWp each.
One of the power plants is set to be constructed on a 16-hectare site in Omburu. The project will be developed by a joint venture consisting of two developers, Hopsol Africa and Tulive Private Equity. The plant will comprise of 33,000 solar panels and 100 inverters.
