Ncondezi Green Power (NGP) has announced that it will resume the development of its off-grid solar projects. The company had to suspend its activities weeks ago because of travel restrictions imposed by the Mozambican government due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the company, the suspension increased the project costs by $500,000. The iinvestors of Ncondezi Energy represented by Scott Fletcher will provide the remaining $350,000.

He also noted that while the impact of Covid-19 has delayed the project’s delivery schedule, the demand for sustainable energy solutions, which provide increased energy security while reducing costs, has increased.
The facility when completed will have a capacity of 400 kWp with a storage system of 912 kWh. It is expected to deliver 600 MWh manually and reduce CO2 emissions by around 517 tonnes over the same period.
