Guinness Ghana’s have installed a 1,095 kWp rooftop solar PV plant.
- The solar plant will supply 1,500 MWh annually, reducing emissions by 10,000 tonnes.
CrossBoundary Energy has installed a 1,095 kWp rooftop solar PV plant at Guinness Ghana’s Achimota brewery in Accra. The solar C&I services provider will sell the energy under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the brewery company. Guinness Ghana will pay an electricity bill each month while CrossBoundary will operate, manage and maintain the solar plant.

CrossBoundary has stated that the plant will provide as much as 19 per cent of the factory’s energy demands. The solar plant will supply 1,500 MWh annually, reducing emissions by 10,000 tonnes.
CrossBoundary has completed similar projects in the West African region. The company had earlier installed a 663.6 kWp rooftop solar plant at the Nigerian Breweries factory in Ibadan, Nigeria.
