NDPHC signs agreement with BEDC
- BEDC to deliver 250MW stranded power to consumers
- BEDC to prioritise capital projects to boost supply
The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has signed a framework agreement with Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) on the evacuation of an additional 250MW of stranded power to customers within BEDC’s franchise area.
The Managing Director NDPHC, Chiedu Ugbo while at the signing ceremony noted the impact of electricity supply on the country. He also acknowledged the efforts of the NDPHC in ensuring the completion of critical National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) within the sector. “The project will help BEDC to satisfy its customers with reliable power and achieve an enhancement of its network and infrastructure”, he said.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) BEDC, Mrs. Funke Osibodu also speaking at the signing ceremony assured of BEDC’s commitment to improving supply to its customers. She added that the agreement will enable BEDC to prioritize critical projects for improvement in electricity supply.
