The assessments will involve stakeholders such as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), and the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA).

Director of Distribution at the Ministry of Energy, Mr Chris Anaglo, while confirming the development said, ”We have met with the GSA, which is the authority in charge of standards in the country, and there will be a collaborative effort to ensure that all streetlights are up to standard”.

The assessment programme, which commences in June, will be implemented under the National Streetlight Conformity Assessment program.
