- The guidelines to address complaints from consumers
- Electricity operators to submit complaints procedures
The Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) has approved the “Guidelines for Customer Complaints and Disputes Resolution” for the electricity sector in the country. The guidelines will establish the procedures for responding to complaints from consumers on the service delivery in the sector. Following the approval, the electricity operators are expected to submit a Customer Complaints Procedure to the LERC for approval.
The Chairman of the LERC, Dr. Lawrence Sekajipo, has said the guidelines would help the LERC assess the performance of industry operators. The LERC, in furtherance of its regulatory mandate, will use the approved guidelines as a benchmark for the operator’s performance.
