Some communities in Abia state were thrown into darkness following a vehicular accident that occurred yesterday. Ezeh noted that the accident destroyed about 14 high tension poles, five 40 feet poles, and other accessories.
”Our Obowo, Nkwoegwu and Ntigha 33kV feeders, as well as the adjoining Nkwoegwu, Amaogwugwu, Abiriba, Amachara, and Ekenobis 11kV feeders, were all affected”, the statement read.
Mr Ezeh, however, added that efforts are ongoing to restore supply to the affected areas. Mr Ezeh called for patience from affected consumers as restoration works continue.
