- Minister of Power calls for stakeholder cooperation on sector challenges
- Meets with NDPHC, TCN Management
- Asks for a commitment on stable electricity
The Minister of Power Sale Mamman and his Deputy Jedy Goddy-Agba met with the Management of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), and the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) have asked stakeholders to commit to improving the sector. Mamman noted the commitment of the Federal Government to the provision of a stable and reliable electricity supply.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the NDPHC Board and Governor Edo State Godwin Obaseki has queried the failure of the TCN in managing the assets of the NDPHC. Obaseki stated that despite NDPHC’s investments in the sector, the NDPHC had not gotten any revenue for the sector. The Managing Director of NDPHC, Chiedu Ugbo, added that the meeting was held to facilitate TCN’s payment of arrears to the NDPHC.
