India has recorded an all-time peak demand of197.06 GW on Tuesday. India had last month recorded a peak demand of 191.24 GW. India’s total electricity demand pattern shows that industrial and agricultural consumption account for 41.16% and 17.69%, respectively, while commercial electricity consumption accounts for 8.24%.
”All India power-demand crossed 200 GW at 1201 hrs today”, the Power and New Renewable Energy Minister Raj Kumar Singh said in a tweet. India’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a distribution company reform scheme to improve the reliability and quality of power supply in the country.
