- CaISO issues statewide Flex Alert
- Urges residents to conserve electricity from 4 pm to 9 pm
California’s Independent System Operator (CaISO) has issued a statewide Flex Alert for today, Wednesday, 28th July. CaISO is asking consumers to conserve electricity during the hours of 4 pm to 6 pm. A heatwave is forecast today for Northern California, which is expected to increase electricity demand.
California is currently experiencing a heat wave that has put a strain on the electricity grid network. As a result, ratepayers and consumers are advised to turn off unnecessary lights and delay using major appliances during that time.
