Plug Power has announced that it has commenced constructing a green hydrogen plant in Camden County, Georgia. The company stated that the plant’s construction would cost $84million (€71.7m). The plant will be completely powered by clean energy and will produce15 tonnes of liquid green hydrogen every day. Plug Power expects the plant to be completed by the end of the year.
Plug Power currently has one existing power plant in Tennessee. In addition, the company had announced green hydrogen plants in South Central Pennsylvania and the Western New York Science, Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP). The company has set a target of manufacturing over 500 tonnes of green hydrogen daily by 2025.
