In our previous post, electricity customers in Nigeria were briefed on the relationship between the rainy seasons and improved electricity. In some regions of the country, it was termed ‘showers of blessing‘.
In conjunction with the article, our readers were asked to join the poll to confirm whether the recent improvement in the power supply is due to the rain or there has been no improvement.
The poll was run through the Electricity Hub’s Linkedln page, and the results are as follows:
Fifty per cent of the voters assert the improvement of electric power due to the rainy season against the dry season.
Twenty-five per cent of the voters disproved the electricity improvement during the rainy season, and another 25 per cent were oblivious as to whether electricity has improved or is still the same.
While the myth of poor electricity supply during the rainy season still exists, the results from the poll disprove such a myth as a higher percentage of electricity consumers affirmed the improved supply.
