IPP Soltage LLC and investment manager Harrison Street have invested in a 20MW solar portfolio across North Carolina, South Carolina and Maine. The portfolio includes community solar assets and Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA) solar projects and investor-owned utilities that purchase electricity via PURPA contracts and local businesses to meet clean energy goals.
Both companies invested via their joint investment vehicle, Iris. Iris intends to deploy 450MW of new distributed solar and storage projects across the United States. Their first investment with the Iris vehicle was a 14.5MW solar portfolio which requires $30 million in project costs.
