- Turkey scientists develop PV Rotary Energy System.
- Capable of operating at low PV temperatures and dust removal.
- The technology was made using 3D printing.
Turkish scientists have developed a new photovoltaic Rotary Energy System (RES). The Adana Science and Technology University scientists designed the prototype to be suitable for household applications. The PV rotary energy system can operate at low module temperatures, alongside removing dust. The scientists are optimistic that the technology can be modified for households and businesses in areas with plenty of wind and solar energy.
The research author, Abdurrahman Yavuzdeger, said the design was made using 3D print technology. ‘Its rotation movement produces air streams that can reduce the operating temperature of the solar panels and reduce dust accumulation considerably.’ In addition, the scientists have assured that the system is environmentally friendly and sustainable.
