Following the blackout experienced throughout the country yesterday, the Kenyan state-owned electric utility, Kenya Power, has confirmed the restoration of electricity supply in all parts of Kenya. Kenya was thrown into a total blackout after the collapse of a major transmission tower.
Kenya Power issued a statement yesterday confirming the collapse of a major transmission tower.
”Our engineers are working to restore electricity supply as the repairs are being undertaken.” the statement read.
”An update on the restoration progress will be issued in due course; we wish to apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused,” Kenya Power stated.
Kenya Power also stated that works are currently ongoing to reconstruct the collapsed tower.
