The state monopoly General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced its plan to build factories through public and private partnership (PPP) ventures with local and foreign investors to produce electricity meters, cables and transformers.
The announcement was made known by GECOL chairman Wiam Al Abdali on Sunday following a meeting with the Privatisation and Investment Board (PIB). According to Al-Abdali, the project would be conducted through the tax advantages schemes offered by the PIB to investors.
