Ecoppia Scientific Ltd, an Israeli provider of water-free solar panel cleaning robots, has announced that it would equip a 400MW project of India’s Azure Power Global Ltd with its technology.
According to the Israeli firm, this is its first hybrid project, as the site includes fixed-tilt and single-axis tracking systems. In addition, Ecoppia will use a variety of robotic solutions on the project, which will also feature difficult terrain and a variety of structures.
The solar park will use all Ecoppia products, including the E4, T4, and the company’s most recent addition, the Ecoppia H4, which uses microfibers and controlled airflow to channel dust and dirt particles downwards and moves horizontally while cleaning vertically.
According to the company, the contract is part of Ecoppia’s framework agreement with Azure. The robots will be installed in the first half of 2022.
