Vanu Deploys Solar-Powered Network Stations in Nigeria

Vanu is set to deploy mobile network base stations to communities in Nigeria. Vanu provides off-grid equipment, tools and services for telecoms and mobile network operators. Vanu has announced that it is working with a local partner, Information Connectivity Solutions Limited (ICSL), to deploy its base stations for an unnamed telecoms operator.
Vanu says it will maintain multiple solar-powered network base stations to allow users in off-grid previously uncovered areas to access communications and internet services.  Vanu’s systems are suitable for remote locations as solar systems reduce costs and limit the pollution effects of fossil fuel use. Under its partnership platform, Vanu enables local technology providers to improve their businesses and revenue by utilising innovative solutions in off-grid areas. Local partnerships enable the company to efficiently deploy its solutions across hundred of sites by utilising local technicians.
