- France hopes to award 28.9GW of renewable power generation capacity through the Procurement Program (PPE2)
- Projects involving the installation of PV arrays of more than 500kWp are eligible for the procurement round.
Under France’s PPE2 multi-year energy procurement program, the first tender for commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop solar systems resulted in 52 winning projects. According to the French Ministry for the Ecological Transition, the weighted average price of the winning proposals is EUR 83.12 per MWh.
Projects involving the installation of photovoltaic (PV) arrays of more than 500kW were eligible for the procurement round. Technique Solaire Invest and Photosol are among the developers chosen, with the largest project capacity being for 12.8MW of panels in Hauts-de-France.
France hopes to award 28.9GW of renewable power generation capacity through the PPE2 program by 2026, with 5.1GW coming from rooftop solar plants, greenhouses, and solar carports. The goal for solar PV installations on the ground is 9.95GW.
