TotalEnergies SE has announced the acquisition of Texas-based Core Solar LLC, which has a portfolio of more than 4GW of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects at varying development stages.
The acquisition expands TotalEnergies’ footprint in the US renewable energy market, totalling its gross capacity to over 10GW. According to Vincent Stoquart, senior vice president, TotalEnergies, “the US is a key region for achieving the company’s global target of 100GW of renewables in operation by 2030.”
TotalEnergies’ new portfolio now includes projects in Texas, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
