The Federal Network Agency of Germany has issued a tender to award 1.125GW of large-scale solar projects. The bids for ground-mounted solar plants with a capacity of over 751 kW. Under the “pay-as-bid” concept, the successful proposals will be awarded contracts.
The tender’s price ceiling was established at €0.057 per kWh, which is somewhat higher than the €0.055 maximum set in the previous round.
The Agency selected 201 proposals with a combined output of 1.084GW in the first auction of this segment, which had a March 1 deadline. The volume-weighted average price for a kWh was €0.0519. Germany plans to allocate a total of 3.6GW of solar capacity for projects of over 751 kW as part of three tenders through 2022.
