- A 10-year contract for the supply of 100% RE power to hotel chain Hoteles Santos signed
Endesa SA, a Spanish utility, has announced that it has agreed to and signed a 10-year contract for the supply of 100% renewable power to hotel chain Hoteles Santos and all of its establishments in Spain. A power purchase agreement (PPA) is included in the contract, through which the hotel group will purchase solar energy from a portfolio of facilities belonging to Endesa’s renewables subsidiary Enel Green Power Espana.
Based on this contract, Hoteles Santos will be able to cover 30% of its electricity demand. The remaining 70% will be covered with electricity which Endesa will generate using a mix of renewables certified with guarantees of origin.
The contract will come into force in 2023.
