Oracle Power Expects LoI for 1.2-GW Renewables Hybrid in Pakistan

  • A 1.2 GW hybrid renewable energy plant will power the 400 MW electrolyser.

According to Oracle Power PLC, the Pakistani province of Sindh is ready to submit a letter of intent (LoI) for a 1.2 GW solar, wind, and green hydrogen project.

Oracle Energy Ltd., a joint venture between Oracle and Shaikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum of Dubai, is moving the project forward. A 1.2 GW hybrid renewable energy plant will power the 400 MW electrolyser, producing up to 55,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually.

Oracle stated that it had received a letter from the Sindh government’s Directorate of Alternative Energy stating it would send the business a letter of intent on the green hydrogen project.

The LoI is expected to permit the production of green hydrogen for business-to-business consumption, sale to utilities, and other uses, subject to the issuance of a $`600,000 performance guarantee by Oracle Energy.
