German energy group RWE AG has announced early construction works on a 10-MW ground-mounted solar project in Badajoz province, southwest Spain.
According to a report by Renewables Now, the firm noted that installing some 20,000 bifacial panels for the Las Vaguadas solar farm at a 21-hectare (52 acres) site would start in late summer.
Las Vaguadas joins the Casa Valdes and the Puerta del Sol solar projects, each of 44 MW, that RWE is currently building in central Spain. It added that the German group expects to wrap up works on all three plants in the first quarter of 2023.
