Volvo Presents New Electric Vehicle Option

Volvo is not just at the forefront of vehicle safety, they are also presenting the market with choice, and this, in today’s technologically driven world, is a valuable asset. Recently, It presented its C40 Recharge SUV-like vehicle. The local pricing and specifications for the C40 Recharge are scheduled for announcements closer to the launch in South Africa in the first half of 2023.

Greg Maruszewski, the managing director of Volvo Car South Africa, said, “Our initial allocations of both the XC40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge Twin are snapped up in double-quick time. We expect the new C40 Recharge to resonate just as strongly with South Africans looking to switch to battery-powered vehicles”.

The C40 Recharge presents the driver with an Android-powered touchscreen infotainment system with built-in Google apps and services. Also, like all tested Volvo models today, the C40 Recharge features a total five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. In addition, the C40, although lower and sleeker, offers SUV-like benefits. The twin-motor version packs a 78kWh (nominal output) lithium-ion battery pack with a range of up to 451km. Peak power is a joyous 300kW and 660Nm with 0-100 km/h achieved in just 4.7 seconds.
