The state of Parana in Brazil has inked a contract with the Brazilian solar panel manufacturer Sengi Solar to develop a green hydrogen manufacturing facility there, the local government stated on Wednesday. A 50 million BRL investment will be needed for the plant’s completion.
During the first Parana Renewable Hydrogen Forum, the statement was made. Governor Ratinho Junior made a number of statements at the ceremony about the future of green hydrogen production in the southern state, including credit lines totaling BRL 500 million to encourage investments in the sector and tax exemption for the hydrogen production chain.
Ratinho Junior also signed the Descomplica H2R resolution, which establishes standards for the environmental licensing of green hydrogen, inaugurated the neighborhood’s green energy program, and approved the legislation establishing a state policy for renewable hydrogen.
