Sungrow, a global inverter and Energy Storage System (ESS) supplier, has signed a contract with EDF Renewables Israel to deliver cutting-edge liquid-cooling storage systems PowerTitan for a substantial 127 MWh (megawatt-hour) energy storage projects. The newly signed contract involves supplying liquid-cooling storage systems that will be integrated into six projects across various locations. The storage capacity of 127 MWh will boost Israel’s renewable energy infrastructure and further strengthen Sungrow’s position as Israel’s leading ESS supplier with a market share of over 40 per cent.
This partnership between Sungrow and EDF Renewables Israel comes at a time when the country is striving to increase its renewable energy share, which makes it crucial in supporting Israel’s renewable energy transition and reducing its carbon footprint. Currently, Israel generates approximately 12 per cent of its energy from renewable sources, and the government aims to achieve 30 per cent by 2030, with solar energy accounting for 26 per cent of this target.
These projects pipeline is part of a continuous relationship with EDF Renewables Israel following the successful signing of previous 50 MWh projects.
