Hyphen Hydrogen Energy, Namibia’s green hydrogen project developer, has partnered with ILF Consulting Engineers for its green hydrogen megaproject in Namibia. Under the agreement, ILF would provide project management services, technical expertise, and advice on procurement and contracting to deliver the green hydrogen project.
According to the firm, the green hydrogen project in the Tsau ‖Khaeb National Park on the coast in southwestern Namibia would make the country a world leader in the green hydrogen sector. The firm, also targeting an annual production of one million tonnes of green ammonia, stated that its first tonnes of green ammonia will be available by 2027.
Marco Raffinetti, Hyphen’s Managing Director, said that ILF’s experience in hydrogen projects worldwide would help the firm meet Namibia’s project deadlines and development goals. In the energy sector, ILF is active in several countries in solar energy, wind power, hydroelectricity, electricity storage, etc. The company is already working on hydrogen projects in Canada, Finland and Austria and would utilise this experience to develop Hyphen’s green hydrogen megaproject.
