- Capacity of 2.2 MW, powering local manufacturing for Huggies and Kotex.
Kimberly Clark Corp partners with Energy Partners to construct a rooftop solar site in South Africa. The project operates under a long-term power purchase agreement.
It aims to power local manufacturing of Huggies and Kotex products. The system will have a capacity of 2.2 MW. It’s set to be one of Cape Town’s largest rooftop solar installations.
The expected annual clean electricity production is 3,478 MWh. This will eliminate over 3,130 tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly. Kimberly Clark aims to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030.
