French energy giant TotalEnergies SE has acquired a significant solar photovoltaic (PV) park project in Spain from developer Synergia. The 59-megawatt (MW) project is located in Toledo province. It has not disclosed financial details.
The project, named Dehesa Nueva del Rey Park, will span 90 hectares in Sesena. It will feature approximately 95,000 PV panels. Construction is set to begin in the first half of the year.
Once operational, it will power over 33,000 households annually. TotalEnergies aims to strengthen its presence in the Spanish solar market. The company already holds a 3-gigawatt (GW) portfolio of solar projects in Madrid, Murcia, Andalusia, Aragon, and Castilla La Mancha.
TotalEnergies and Soltec Power Holdings recently secured a permit for a 200-megawatt peak (MWp) solar PV project in Murcia. This underscores their commitment to renewable energy.
Sustainability remains a top priority for TotalEnergies as it drives innovation in the renewable energy sector. The Dehesa Nueva del Rey Park exemplifies TotalEnergies’ dedication to shaping a greener future.
