Tackling Energy Poverty in Nigeria with a Revolutionary 200MW Project

In the energy landscape of West Africa, Slash Energy Material, in collaboration with the Katsina State Government, unveiled plans for a colossal 200MW solar power project in Katsina State, Nigeria. The root of this crisis lies in a persistent mismatch between soaring energy demand and insufficient supply. Despite the country’s rich energy potential, about 80 million Nigerians still lack reliable electricity, reflecting an electricity access rate of merely 60%.

The 200MW solar power project will, upon completion, be the largest renewable energy initiative in West Africa.
