He highlighted the Mayor of Housing’s commitment to integrating clean energy into real estate projects. “This partnership is a major step towards solving Africa’s housing issues while promoting sustainability,” Ezenaji said.

The collaboration will explore renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro. Ezenaji expressed enthusiasm about working with My-ACE China on these initiatives. He also emphasised his commitment to educating students about Sustainable Development Goal 7, which addresses clean energy and climate change.

The AGM also featured Mr Abiye Pedro’s appointment as the new chairman of NSPE. Pedro will lead Rivers State, Bayelsa State, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and affiliated universities. He takes over from the outgoing chairman, Ngozi Okonkwo.

My-ACE China, also known as the Mayor of Housing, praised the AGM’s focus on cleaner energy. Reflecting on Shell’s Residential Area, which has maintained its green status for 60 years, China expressed optimism about future energy innovations.

He stressed the need to connect technical expertise with practical housing solutions. “Sustainable estates with clean energy are no longer a foreign concept. We are bringing this vision to Nigeria,” China said.

China highlighted the Alesa Highland Sustainable City project as a critical part of its commitment. He promised the project would attract interest and set a new benchmark for sustainable development. “We are determined to deliver results that exceed expectations and showcase local innovation,” China added.

NSPE and My-ACE China aim to drive significant advancements in cleaner energy within the real estate sector. Both parties focus on creating sustainable solutions to address global energy challenges.
