The Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference is set to return for its 11th edition, gathering key stakeholders from across the energy sector to promote the region’s clean energy transition. Scheduled for October 15-17, 2024, in Lagos, this year’s event will showcase innovative companies in power generation, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and energy management.
Under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Power and organised by Informa Markets, the conference is themed “Breaking Barriers in the New Energy Era: Clean, Reliable, and Sustainable.” It aims to address the critical challenge of energy access through two major conferences: a high-level Leadership Summit and a Technical Seminar.
The Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit will host industry experts, investors, and local players to discuss viable pathways for West Africa’s energy transition. Meanwhile, the Technical Seminar will spotlight cutting-edge innovations and technologies in the energy sector, serving as a knowledge hub for industry best practices and scientific advancements.
Ade Yesufu, Exhibition Director of the Energy portfolio at Informa Markets, highlighted the importance of this gathering. “Nigeria and West Africa are at a pivotal moment in their energy journey, focusing on increasing access and transitioning to cleaner, more sustainable solutions,” he said. Yesufu emphasised that despite the region’s vast natural resources, attracting investment remains crucial to reducing energy poverty.
In 2024, the Nigeria Energy Exhibition will introduce the Energy-X Contest, a new initiative to nurture young talent and innovation in the energy sector. This program will provide aspiring entrepreneurs the skills, network, and support needed to build successful ventures that positively contribute to society.
Overall, the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference promises to foster collaboration and innovation, reinforcing its commitment to advancing practical solutions for the region’s energy challenges while supporting a green energy future.
