Access Bank has unveiled its ‘Switch to Solar’ campaign to benefit at least 50,000 households nationwide. This drive is part of ongoing efforts by the bank to improve electricity access and support the transition to a low-carbon economy in Nigeria and across Africa.

Through this initiative, the bank will offer accessible financing solutions for individuals and businesses to acquire solar power products, including solar panels, inverters, and batteries, through partnerships with accredited vendors.

At the programme’s launch in Lagos, Njideka Esomeju, the Group Head of Consumer Banking, highlighted the campaign’s recognition of renewable energy’s critical role in reducing carbon footprints and fostering environmental sustainability.

She stated, “The campaign aims to significantly improve the quality of life for many Nigerians by providing a reliable and sustainable energy source. It will reduce dependence on fossil fuels, lower energy costs, and support environmental conservation efforts through reduced carbon emissions from power products, thus improving living conditions. We intend to impact over 50,000 households with this drive.”
