Aemi Premium, Wema, Providus to Expand Solar Access in Nigeria

  • Aemi Premium partnered with Wema Bank and Providus Bank to provide affordable solar power through flexible financing.
  • The initiative promotes access to clean energy and reduces reliance on generators in Nigeria.

Aemi Premium has partnered with Wema Bank and Providus Bank to deliver cleaner, more reliable, and affordable solar power to homes and businesses across Nigeria.

The partnership, unveiled at Aemi Premium’s official launch in Lagos, combines innovative solar technology with flexible financing to make AMP Solar products and energy-efficient appliances accessible to more Nigerians.

At the event, the company showcased solar panels, inverters, lithium batteries with up to 10-year warranties, and smart devices, including energy-saving appliances, security cameras, and smart locks. Aemi Premium said the initiative underscores its goal to empower people with dependable energy that supports a cleaner environment.

Chief Executive Officer Samuel Williams said the company envisions a sustainable Nigeria where citizens enjoy clean and affordable power.

“More than 92 million Nigerians still lack access to guaranteed electricity. Even those connected to the grid rely on costly, noisy, and polluting generators,” Williams said. “Our systems ensure a consistent power supply even when the grid fails.”

He added that solar power remains essential to Nigeria’s growth, helping the country reduce dependence on fossil fuels while creating jobs in installation, maintenance, and distribution.

Aemi Premium, a new entrant to Nigeria’s renewable energy market, has recorded over a year of successful operations in The Gambia. Williams said the company aims to replicate that success by offering products designed for Nigerians and built to European standards.

Providus Bank Relationship Manager Onetoritsebawo Adejumo stated that the lender will offer low-interest financing to assist customers in adopting AMP Solar solutions. “This partnership ensures homeowners and businesses can access clean energy without financial barriers,” she said.

To strengthen its brand presence, Aemi Premium also introduced Dr Oluwakemisola Ogunleye, popularly known as Kem Realtor, as its brand ambassador.

“I choose to work with brands that are authentic and true to their purpose, and AMP Solar embodies exactly that,” Ogunleye said.

Aemi Premium said the partnership reflects its broader mission to power Nigerian homes, livelihoods, and businesses while advancing the country’s clean energy transition.
