- Air Products and Eneco seal a 10-year renewable power deal.
- Green electricity to supply Air Products’ Dutch plant
United States (US) based Air Products and Dutch utility Eneco have entered a 10-year power purchase agreement for renewable power deal. The agreement will supply green electricity to Air Products’ Dutch plants.
The contracted energy production will mainly come from the Vlagtwedde solar PV park. This park, located in northeastern Netherlands, was commissioned in phases in 2020 and acquired by Encavis AG early last year.
The agreement aims to reduce carbon emissions equivalent to the footprint of 45,000 homes with the PPA in place. The contract supports the US firm’s sustainability efforts and its goal to reach net-zero carbon emissions from its operations by 2050.
