According to founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, Amazon is now the biggest corporate purchaser of clean energy globally. The multinational technology company recently added 26 new wind and solar energy projects with a total generation capacity of 3.4GW.
These new projects which were added in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Sweden, the UK, and the US bring Amazon’s total renewable energy projects to 127, according to the company.
Amazon remains one of the corporations leading the drive to energy transition globally. The company has invested in the total production capacity of 6.5GW of electricity to date.
