ANEREE Seeks Experts for Clean Energy Capacity Building

  • Burkina Faso’s National Agency for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency is seeking specialists to provide capacity building training for about 2,000 people engaged in the renewable energy sector.

Burkina Faso’s National Agency for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (ANEREE)  plans to provide capacity building training for potential workforce in the renewable energy sector.  On December 4th, ANEREE  launched a call for applications for specialists in the clean energy sector to help build capacity in the renewable energy sector. The experts will help train the labour force in selected areas, including the dimensioning, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic solar energy systems. It is expected that this training will benefit about 2,000 young technical salespeople in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector.

These training would hold from 10th to 21st December 2020 and would enable beneficiaries better suited to provide renewable energy solutions. This initiative ties into Burkinabe government’s objective of generating the majority of their energy from solar PV. This call for applications is part of the Burkina Faso component of the West Africa Competitiveness Support Programme (PACAO-BF). The initiative is being funded by the European Union and implemented by the Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-BF).

 Interested specialists in the clean energy sector have until December 9th, 2020 to apply.
